Making work experience more meaningful for schools

Careers education is evolving. Modern work experience isn’t about one placement with no relevance.

It’s about multiple meaningful encounters with employers.

Our programmes help schools deliver these experiences through employer-led challenges, industry insight and structured careers learning, from inperson full halls to online digital learning.

Programmes aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks

The Gatsby Benchmarks remain the foundation of careers education in schools.

Challenges, curriculum and employer encounters have been developed to support multiple Gatsby Benchmarks, helping students connect classroom learning with real careers while giving schools clear ways to evidence meaningful careers activity.

Connecting   students with real employers

Modern work experience is shifting away from the traditional one-week placement towards repeated encounters with employers throughout a student’s education.

Through employer-led challenges and delivery days, The Inspirational Learning Group brings volunteer employers from a range of industries into schools. Students can interact directly with professionals, ask questions, share ideas and receive feedback while gaining insight into real careers and industries.
